Like / Dislike Thesis

(2011) Undergraduate thesis focused on young women's perceptions of themselves. Several hundred young women were asked to submit two images: one of part of their body that they liked and one of part that they didn’t, both with a reason. These anonymous images were featured on a hand-coded website. Additionally, several pieces were made based on the submitted stories. The goal was to create a complex, beautiful reaction to an agonizing story. The most important lesson learned from the thesis project was to trust the process: to find a solution based on the work, not to base the work around the solution.
